Summary | This story is about a girl, Marcie the narrator, who rides an unusal bus that tells Marcie about the life of Rosa Parks. The bus begins the ride and story by sharing about Rosa's childhood an dher family. The bus continues the story by explaining the famous event when Rosa was arrested becuse she didn't give up her seat to a white person. The bus finishes his story to the narrator by telling her that Rosa was awarded various awardsa nd prizes for her act of bravery. The story ends with the bus stopping to pick up Rosa so they cna all celebrate and remember what she did for African American's and the Civil Rights Movement so many years ago. |
